- Program : Photoshop CS+
- Estimated Completion Time : 30 minutes
- Difficulty : Beginner
Step 1
Prepare your model photo. It’s better to choose a decent one (don’t use a model with a sweet smile for example but a screaming one or with sharp eyes will be more impressive). I used the Crop Tool to remove the lower part of the model’s body to put more focus on her face.
Step 2
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Curves and reduce the lightness on the photo:
Step 3
Use a Hue Saturation adjustment layer to decrease the picture saturation:
Step 4
Make a new layer (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+N ), change the mode to Overlay 100% and fill with 50% gray:
Take the Burn Tool with Midtones Range, Exposure about 15-20% to darken some parts of the model’s body and face. You can see how I did it with Normal mode and the result with Overlay mode:
Step 5
Create a new layer, use a hard brush with the color #a5a39f to fill the eyes. You can see that I still kept the pupils slightly visible:
Step 6
I used a Curves layer with Clipping Mask to darken the eyes. On this layer mask use a basic, soft brush with black to erase the eye center to make the depth for the eyes:
Step 7
Copy the wound from its original image and place it onto the chest:
Click the second button at the bottom of the Layers Panel to add a mask to this layer. Use a soft black brush to remove the hard edges and blend the wound with the skin:
Step 8
I used Hue/Saturation for this wound and on this layer mask use a soft black bush to erase the center of the wound to keep some blood effect there:
Step 9
Open the rust 1 texture. Place it over the model and change the mode to Overlay 100% :
Add a layer mask and use a soft black brush to remove the edges outside of the model:
Step 10
Use Hue/Saturation to match the rust effect with the skin:
Step 11
Place the meat image onto the stomach and change the mode to Multiply 100% :
Use a layer mask to blend the meat with the skin:
Step 12
Desaturate this effect with Hue/Saturation :
Step 13
We’re still in the process of “decorating” the model. Open the rust 2 image. Use the Lasso Tool to select a part from this texture and place it onto the model’s face, set this layer mode to Overlay 100% , also use a layer mask to blend the texture part with the skin:
